Your 2024-2025 SVC Board of Directors

 

President: Francis Dumler, Shadowridge

Francis Dumler is President of South Vista Communities. He is passionate about SVC because of its commitment to enhancing Vista’s environment (parking, landscaping, architectural design, improvements, and modifications), standards of health and safety, and quality of life.

Professionally, Francis spent 44 years in medical academic practice as a nephrologist (kidney specialist) in Michigan before relocating with his wife to Vista. Continuing his interest in health and community service, he served as Commissioner of the City of Vista Senior Citizens Affair Commission.

His first contact with South Vista Communities was a 2018 public meeting, where he was so impressed by the meeting content, discussion, leadership, and attendees (members and public at large) that he applied for membership right on the spot.

Vice President: Pia Romano, Shadowridge

Pia Romano serves as both Vice-President and Treasurer of South Vista Communities. She joined SVC in 2017.

Professionally, Pia enjoys working with people and for the past 30 years has been helping with people and their health through various bodywork and healing techniques. Her degree is in Molecular Biology,  and she has done graduate work in Pharmacology and Health Education

Secretary: Kathy Bagwell, Shadowridge

Kathy Bagwell is Secretary of South Vista Communities. In 2008, she retired from her career and moved to Vista. She was elected to the SVC board in 2015.

Professionally, Kathy was employed for 35 years with a Physical and Occupational Therapy company with clinics in California, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. Her positions included Human Resource Director, Event Planner, and Executive Assistant.

Treasurer: Pia Romano, Shadowridge

At-large: Cindy Farfan, Creekside

At-large: Stephanie Jackel, Creekside

Stephanie is one of the five founding board members of South Vista Communities, helping to establish the organization in 2006. She currently serves as a Board Member at Large.

Stephanie and her husband moved to Vista in 2004 to be close to their grandchildren and have enjoyed living in Vista immensely. She became acquainted with Vista in her position as Executive Director of the Vista Village Business Association, which she held in 2004-2006. She also was honored to have served on Vista’s Planning Commission for 12 years.

Professionally, Stephanie worked for 30 years in the field of historic preservation and community organization. She served as Executive Director of statewide preservation groups in Utah and Maryland as well as the Historic Savannah Foundation in Georgia.
