From Palomar Airport Action Network:  Please note the important notice below fronC4FA. Important court proceedings to watch for:

  1. What the Judge says about The City of Carlsbad entering the case, and if he signals any directions.
  1. Whether the City, or the Judge, mentions the announcement by United Airlines to add Commercial Big Jet flights.
  1. Does the City signal any concerns that add to the case made by C4FA.
  1. Does the City or Judge consider any injunctive action to halt these flights until the case is decided.(doubtful)
  1. Does the County pursue settlement discussions with the City, when the judge allows the City in the case.

As you know, our appearance last week before the Carlsbad City Council, was an attempt to streghten their resolve and positions on this matter. The letter sent by Jason Haber, to those of you who wrote the City, seemed to indicate more defined positions. However, as you know, politics often makes for strange compromises. Lets hope our efforts continue to promote and protect our health and safety concerns.

City of Carlsbad Asks to Join AA Lawsuit

Dear C4FA Friends,

This Friday, November 14th , the City of Carlsbad will appear before the Honorable Gregory Pollack to request permission to join C4FA’s lawsuit against the County regarding the AA contract.

C4FA welcomes the City of Carlsbad’s support in this legal effort. As expected, the County and AA oppose the City’s motion.

The hearing is open to the public and can be viewed online at:
San Diego Superior Court – Civil Virtual Hearings

Scroll down to Courtroom C-71 and click on “C-71 Video hearings” and join the meeting.

There is no specific time scheduled for the City’s hearing. Proceedings begin at 9:00 a.m., and Judge Pollack will call cases throughout the morning.

C4FA hopes the City of Carlsbad will prevail.

We are a 100% volunteer group and are still fundraising for our legal battle with the County. Every donation helps:
